ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Kentucky shipper Arbiter blew away his three rivals with the addition of Lasix in Sunday’s $130,000 Woodstock Stakes for 3-year-olds at Woodbine.  Arbiter broke alertly under last year’s award-winning apprentice Pietro Moran and set moderate fractions in the six-furlong sprint. Two Out Hero, who was bet down to 3-5 favoritism late, took a run at Arbiter on the turn, but Arbiter kicked away through the stretch to prevail by six lengths in a time of 1:10.31.   Silver Is Best, who was ridden by Pietro’s father, David Moran, closed for second, while the maiden El Capo nosed out a fading Two Out Hero for third.   :: Access the most trusted data and information in horse racing! He was cruising along pretty easy. I knew [Two Out Hero] was there and he was going to make a move, but today was all Arbiter.” Arbiter returned $4.70 as the second choice in his second stakes start. The son of Charlatan banked $78,750 for owner Resolution Road Stables.   There was win and exactor wagering only on the race, which was won last year by the future King’s Plate winner and 2025 Canadian Horse of the Year Mansetti. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
