Arapahoe track report

Arapahoe Park in Aurora, Co., will conduct 18 Thoroughbred stakes worth a cumulative $465,000 during its upcoming meet. The track's 39-date season will run from June 10 through Sept. 4.

The $40,000-added Gold Rush Futurity for 2-year-olds at six furlongs highlights the stakes program. It will be run on Sept. 4. Past winners of the race include millionaire Maysville Slew.

Another race of interest is the $25,000 Colorado Derby at 1 1/16 miles. It will be run on July 23.

Arapahoe will race three days a week, on a Saturday through Monday basis, with one exception - there will be a holiday card on Tuesday, July 4. First post daily is 1 p.m. Mountain.

The meet will be the first under the ownership of BLB Investors, LLC.
