Aqueduct's races were scheduled to return to TVG on Saturday after the New York Racing Association and the network reached agreement on a two-year television and account-wagering deal late Thursday. The New York State Racing and Wagering Board approved the deal shortly after 4 p.m. Eastern on Friday. On Thursday, the NYRA sent out a press release saying that it had not been able to reach a deal with TVG, which resulted in Aqueduct's New Year's Day card being blacked out from the network. But the two sides did reach a deal late in the day and it was sent to the board for approval on Thursday night. Friday's races were also not available on TVG because the board was unable to review and approve the contract in time. "Our customers will continue to enjoy racing action from Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga for a number of years," said TVG's president David Nathanson in a press release.
