Aqueduct pick six hit on day 4

Bettors were finally able to hit the pick six at Aqueduct on Wednesday, with 92 winning tickets returning $12,958 each. There were 1,963 consolation tickets (5 of 6) which returned $135 each. The winning sequence was 8-1-1-1-6-3.

There was a three-day carryover of $403,438 entering Wednesday's card, and fans across the country wagered an additional $1,414,261 into the pool.

Trainer Dominic Schettino won two of the first three legs of the pick six with Wheres Whitey ($9.90) and Miz Linzer ($10.20). In between, Not for Money ($22.40), a first-time starter trained by Richard Dutrow Jr., rallied five wide in the stretch to run down favored Mariano.

The last three legs of the sequence were won by favorites Gold and Blue Box ($6.70), Raffit ($5.60) and Free of Secrets ($5.60).
