The Aqueduct pick six was hit for the first time in a week on Thursday and paid $50,449. The wager carried over last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and was $175,909 coming into the card. More than $1.1 million was bet into the pool Thursday. The winning horses in the pick six were Fuel the Bern ($10.40), Carthon ($13), Moretti ($3.60), Daria's Angel ($20), Playthatfunnymusic ($10.20), and Proximate to Power ($8.10). The winning numbers were 2-4-7-8-3-3. Five winners paid $458. The Thursday card was marred when Consensus Thinking broke down and jockey Jose Lezcano was injured in race 3, the first leg of the pick six. Lezcano was taken to Jamaica Hospital. He was released Thursday evening with a fractured nose, according to the NYRA communications department. He will need to undergo a neurological consult before he can resume riding. Lezcano was aboard Consensus Thinking when the 3-year-old gelding broke down in his left front leg in upper stretch of the $50,000 starter race. Lezcano was thrown to the ground and then run over by Crea's Bklyn Law, who reportedly kicked him in the face. Consensus Thinking, who was trained by Rudy Rodriguez, was euthanized on the track. After Consensus Thinking was injured, he wandered toward the inner rail in front of Gnarly, who jumped him, unseating apprentice Wes Hamilton, who walked off the track under his own power. Gnarly, who stayed on his feet, reportedly was uninjured.
