Aqueduct pick six has $175,909 carryover Thursday
The Aqueduct pick six went unhit for a third straight day Sunday, resulting in a carryover of $175,909 into Thursday's eight-race card. The pick six will begin on race 3.
There was a carryover of $48,374 into the Sunday program and another $223,762 in fresh money was wagered.
The sequence started off with wins by Show Prince ($4.20), Summer Punch ($24), and Playwright ($12.80).
Testosterstone's $50.50 victory in race 7 knocked out a slew of tickets before Blindwillie McTell won the eighth, paying $7.50.
There were live tickets in the ninth-race finale to 9-2 Rare Gift ($87,954), 11-1 Tiztinabella ($87,954), and 3-5 It's a Lovely Day ($43,977), but Dirty Bird ($23.20) upset It's a Lovely Day by 6 3/4 lengths over the sloppy track, forcing a carryover.
The number of betting interests in races 3 to 8 Thursday are 7, 8, 9, 9, 9, and 10.
The sequence starts with a $50,000 starter, and continues with a first-level New York-bred allowance, a 1 1/8-mile 2-year-old maiden, a $50,000 starter, and a first-level statebred allowance. It concludes with a restricted $25,000 claiming race.
