Aqueduct: Pick six carryover of $105,348 for Friday

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – There will be a pick six carryover of $105,348 for Friday’s card at Aqueduct after the wager went unhit both Sunday and Monday.

There was a carryover of $33,727 entering Monday’s card, and an additional $125,654 was wagered into the pool. Many tickets were knocked out in the opening leg when the 8-year-old mare Get Gorgeous ($21.80) got up over 31-1 Newyork Conspiracy in race 4.

Logical horses Red Minx ($6.60), One Red Cat ($7.70), Ruthless Alley ($7.40), and Once a Week ($7.50) won the next four legs, and there were live pick six tickets to six of the 11 runners entering the finale.

But when Very Accomplished, a second-time starter from owner/trainer Charlton Baker, ran down first-time starter Elmra to win the finale at 15-1, that triggered the carryover into Friday’s card. There was one ticket alive to Elmra.

Aqueduct is dark until Friday. The pick six will start with race 4 and includes four races carded at 5 1/2 furlongs.
