Aqueduct pick-6 carryover for Friday at $133,982
There will be a pick-6 carryover of $133,982 at Aqueduct on Friday after the wager went unhit for two straight cards.
There was a carryover of $27,267 entering Sunday’s card. There was $187,228 wagered into the pool on Sunday.
All tickets were effectively blown up when Manifest Destiny pulled off a 60-1 upset in race 7 - the fourth leg of the sequence - besting 7-5 favorite Flatexcel. Manifest Destiny returned $123.50 to win.
Manifest Destiny, a 5-year-old gelding by City Zip, was ridden to victory by jockey Tzeonn Chang, whose last winner came at Suffolk Downs on Aug. 26. 2009. He had gone winless on 92 mounts over the last 9 1/2 years.
Manifest Destiny gave trainer William Younghans his first win since Here’s Trance won here on Dec. 27, 2014. He had started only13 horses since.
On Friday, the Aqueduct pick-6 will begin on race 4 (3:15 p.m. Eastern). The six dirt races have fields of 8, 6, 8, 7, 8, and 10.
