Aqueduct: Midnight Visit connects as heavy favorite in Love Is Eternal

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Midnight Visit ($3.60), the lone entrant who had a first-level allowance win on her resume, rallied wide into the stretch under Mike Luzzi and finished determinedly to wear down pacesetter Those Lion Eyes for a half-length score in Sunday’s $60,000 Love Is Eternal overnight stakes at Aqueduct for 3-year-old New York-bred fillies.

Midnight Visit, a $275,000 purchase last year for Thoroughbred Futures Racing, ran six furlongs in 1:11.40 on a fast main track and improved to 3 wins from 4 career starts for trainer Todd Pletcher.

Those Lion Eyes, the only other two-time winner in the field going in, finished a clear second by 4 1/2 lengths over Jackie Mo, at 15-1 the longest price in the six-horse field.

Good Habits, Gambling Geraldine, and Funky Munky Mama rounded out the order of finish.
