Aqueduct: Forest Heiress romps
JAMAICA, N.Y. - Forest Heiress completed a weekend stakes double for her connections by rocketing past A New Twist in upper stretch and cruising to a three-length victory in the Grade 3, $80,775 Valley Stream Stakes for juvenile fillies at Aqueduct.
In winning her fourth race in five starts, Forest Heiress established a stakes record of 1:08.66 for six furlongs.
Forest Heiress ($5.60) is owned and bred by Ebby Novak's New Farm and trained by Ben Perkins Jr. On Saturday, those same connections won the Grade 1 Frank De Francis Memorial Dash at Laurel Park with Delaware Township.
Perkins said Forest Heiress would probably begin her 3-year-old campaign in the $100,00 Old Hat Stakes at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 6.
