Race 4

Live Longshot

LOVEISHEARTANDSOUL (#6, 8-1): Rallied mildly after lunging at the break of turf debut at seven furlongs, then raced wide and evenly in a merry-go-round race at the same distance on dirt, as the top three ran 1-2-3 around the track. Linda Rice sent out maiden winner Mark My Way stretching out from seven furlongs on Sunday. --Dave Litfin

Race 5

Spot Play

STAR GRAZING (#1A, 5-2) maiden was way up against it vs. stakes competition last time, stuck four-wide throughout on a day when the rail was carrying horses, and somehow there managed to be no pace on. - Mike Beer

Spot Play

PLEASE NO EMAILS (#6, 8-1) adds Lasix for this, and the workout last Saturday suggests she'll improve here; she middle-moved in her latest and held well for the place. -Kenny Peck

Race 6

Live Longshot

PENN’S GRANT (#3, 15-1) in his lone long distance effort, in minor stake at DEL this summer, he trailed behind a slow pace and tried circling field 4-5 wide on the far turn; have thought this one has a bit of talent and fits with these. - Chuck Kuehhas

Race 7

Spot Play

KARA’S MATCH POINT (#2, 7-2): viewing the turf try off the bench as a tightener, as this filly has shown plenty of potential on the main track to begin her career; was a strong second-best while trying to close in the slop two back behind subsequent Grade 3 winner Baby J, and her maiden score prior to that was a convincing effort. - Mike Beer

Race 8

Spot Play

MUCH STRONGER (#9, 3-1) clearly has races that would win this and may simply be in the right spot, but he was defeated as an odds-on favorite last out without excuse, has failed miserably the last two times he has tried this one-turn mile, and faces some interesting newer faces, several of whom are off of trainer changes. - Mike Beer
