Race 2

Spot Play

EGO FRIENDLY (#8, 10/1) is only 1-for-13 lifetime, but the “1” was earned the only other timw time he went turf-to-dirt, as he does today, and he came with a good run that day to close down a clear rival through the stretch while putting over 10 lengths back to the rest of the field.-Mike Beer

Live Longshot

SATURDAY APPEAL (#12, 8-1): This gelding has won twice previously, at odds of 16-1 and 7-1. The most recent score was delivered back in May, the last and only time he was in for Wednesday’s $15,000 claim price, and also the last and only time Irad Ortiz Jr. rode him.-Dave Litfin

Race 4

Spot Play

OUTER ORBIT (#7, 6-1) deserves a look on the strength of a solid work tab, and the barn is underrated when it comes to firsters; the favorites in here seem to have some holes, making this a good spot for a debut. -Kenny Peck

Vulnerable Favorite

ULTIMATE SHOPPER (#2) Sure, that was a sharp debut, complete with a huge (99) Beyer, but she was loose on the lead there through mild fractions, an unlikely scenario today given the speed present in this field; not convinced she's going to run back to that figure if she's under pressure from the start here. -Kenny Peck

Race 9

Spot Play

Spot Play, this race has a wide-open feel to it, and seems like a good spot to try a new face, as the familiar ones have down little to earn much respect from several tries. I’ll go for ZAMQUICK (#11, 10/1), who debuted going short & came with a good run through the stretch as the pace held together, and use her with CAT’S CLAW (#10, 8/1), shipping into NY for a Hall of Fame trainer.-Mike Beer

Live Longshot

ZAMQUICK (#11, 10-1) rallied for minor award in debut in a race that was dominated up front; trainer’s success with second time starters and go-to jockey aboard may result in odds being couple ticks lower than listed price.-Chuck Kuehhas
