Spot PlayPRINCESS MARA (#2, 7-2): Among the most accomplished members of this optional claiming field, and particularly dangerous when able to get the lead, as seems likely first off the claim with a switch to the meet-leading rider from post 2. --Dave Litfin
Spot PlayFAMILYOFROSES (#5, 5-2) has never run a poor race on dirt, and in a lot of ways is the horse to beat in this race, but she is not particularly fast and she did get a very good trip and ride when second best and finishing ahead of several of today’s rivals last time; she’s a shorter-price that I would use defensively in the Pick 4 while playing against straight up. - Mike Beer Live LongshotTaking a shot with A PRETTYDIXIE (#3, 10-1), as her Beyers aren't that far off some of the main contenders in here; recent solid work indicates she may retain her form. -Kenny Peck
