KISSED AND MISSED (#2, 6-5) was gunned aggressively to the lead through the fastest opening fraction of the day and dueled off favored Rontos' Code (who he'll meet again today) only to get nailed right on the wire by a perfect trip closer; redemption is hard to come by in this game, but he should have won last time and will be tough if running that race again. - Mike Beer

RUTHLESS ALLEY (#1, 8-1) was taken off the pace by the apprentice jockey in his first start off the short rest and he was unable to last after a run at the lead; given the expected pace scenario, and his inside draw, he figures to be on the front end this time around, if the new rider is aggressive early on. -Kenny Peck

NOON TIME SHOWER (#4, 4-1): Freshened up since being bumped at the start and in the stretch in December, she returns for a good layoff barn with blinkers removed.
