Race 2

LIVE LONGSHOT

QUEEN NINE (#9, 10-1) She reaffirmed her dislike of wet tracks when brought back from a freshening, but prior to that won big with a lifetime top Beyer Figure that is competitive in this field. - Dave Litfin

QUEEN NINE (#9, 10-1) has a lot of speed, and with other pace-types signed on she may have found the wrong race to try $35k claimers, but with an outside post perhaps she can do some tracking in the clear, and I do believe she has a race in her that would be very competitive in this field; would take double digit odds to find out.- Mike Beer

Race 4

LIVE LONGSHOT

Late season turf races at Aqueduct are often less about who the most talented and/or accomplished horses are, and more about where they are in their form cycles, which can make taking shots with longer prices enticing in certain circumstances. In this race maybe we can get GOLDEN CHEETAH (#7, 12/1) involved, as she steadily improved throughout the spring/summer once switched to grass, and is third off the layoff after winding up trailing early in a paceless race last time.- Mike Beer

ELUSIVE DESIGN (#5, 6-1): Yet to race on dirt, but the turf turn-back is related to two winners on that surface; she may have the needed conditioning to overtake some tiring rivals at six and one-half furlongs, after challenging in the stretch at 1 1/16 miles vs. favored Viva Allegiance (who also tries the main track two races earlier). - Dave Litfin

SPOT PLAY

MIZ OWELL (#10, 5-1) has been victimized by poor pace scenarios in her last couple but she has room to improve today given a better set-up; she did well to even make up ground in those last two races. -Kenny Peck

Race 5

SPOT PLAY

Last dirt race showing for PETROCELLI (#3, 12/1) looks much worse than it probably is in reality, as that group raced in a tight pack with a moderate pace, and he was stuck out in a four wide trip before giving way; main track efforts three and four back are competitive with these and he’s a price.

Race 7

VULNERABLE FAVORITE

MERRY MEADOW (#4, 2-1) has crossed the wire first in three of her last five but she's winless at this particular distance and she's much more likely to run 2nd than she is to win; using her "underneath" but she could be an underlay when considering win candidates. -Kenny Peck
