Spot PlayBONFIRE HEART (#5, 4-1) might merit a look in her 2nd career start after a slow start cost her in her debut; relatively paceless race might be vulnerable to a frontrunner. -Kenny Peck Closer Looks >> |

Spot PlayBOSS OF ME (#3): Clipped heels leaving the first turn and lost all chance first time off the claim. The Santa Anita shipper’s most recent dirt race was a maiden win three back, with a Beyer Figure good enough to handle the locals.-Dave Litfin Closer Looks >> |

Live LongshotThis is a tough state-bred Alw scheduled for turf, but think TESTOSTERSTONE (#5, 20/1) is better than he looks on paper, and he has grass on the bottom of his pedigree (Dam A. P. Test is a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 turfer Riskaverse); race remains interesting if we’re off the grass, and I’d stick with him on the main track.-Mike Beer Closer Looks >> |

Vulnerable FavoriteMaybe she’ll be better second off the layoff, but RAVEN RISE (#4, 2/1) enters here off of a no excuse loss after getting clear along a gold rail at even money last month, and is tough to take right back at another short price.-Mike Beer |
