Aqueduct: Condo Commando outside in Busher

Condo Commando, the multiple graded stakes-winning 2-year-old filly of 2014, drew the outside post in a field of six entered Monday for Saturday’s $100,000 Busher Stakes at Aqueduct.
The 1 1/16-mile race will mark the 3-year-old debut of Condo Commando, who at 2 won the Grade 1 Spinaway and Grade 2 Demoiselle and was voted a finalist for the Eclipse Award as champion 2-year-old filly. She last raced Nov. 29, winning the Demoiselle by 11 1/2 lengths.
Condo Commando, trained by Rudy Rodriguez for owner Michael Dubb and partners, will be ridden for the first time by Junior Alvarado.
On Tuesday, over an Aqueduct inner track labeled “fast” despite overnight snow, Condo Commando worked a half-mile in 50.94 seconds.
The others entered in the Busher were Paulassilverlining, Overprepared, Liberty Island, Sweet On Smokey, and Hold Me Down.
The Busher, which offers 17 qualifying points to its first four finishers toward the May 1 Kentucky Oaks, will go as race 3 on a nine-card card.
