Aqueduct: Closer Looks for November 16, 2013

DRF Staff|Nov 15, 2013

Race 1

Forever for Always
She ran well the first time she raced over turf in her second career start and she gave a decent account of herself when finishing behind a couple of today's rivals in her latest outing; this miss is a 1/2 to stakes placed Dancing Rage (5-38, 140k, including 5 of 32 turf starts for 136k).
Echluath
She goes out for a barn that has been quiet in 2013 and she has been beaten by a few of today's rivals in her recent starts; on a positive note, it is interesting to see Rosario taking the call.
Uman Candy
This filly has a nice pedigree for turf and she's run well enough in a couple of her turf attempts to help give her the look of a legitimate threat in this spot; note that she was favored in her latest outing before running into a fallen rival.
Cake N Cookies
She was completely ignored in the wagering for her career debut and the winner from that race has since returned to win here on 11/3 going 1m over turf vs. N1X alw. rivals with a 75 Beyer; this miss is a 1/2 to minor stakes placed Mynavigator (11-68, 241k, including 3 of 20 turf starst for 138k).
Princessbellaoncal
Her most recent race can be viewed as being her best performance to date, but that type of effort hasn't been the norm for her and she might not care for the added distance that she's being asked to negotiate today.
Bi Light of Day
She's yet to run a race that is strong enough to suggest that she can come out on top in this spot, but maybe taking the blinkers off can help her, and she is out of a multiple stakes winning dam who won 6 of 24 turf starts for 301k.
Josie's Prospect
The move to turf seemed to agree with this miss in her latest start and she finished right behind today's rival Quiet Kiss in that race; this filly is a 1/2 to minor stakes placed Nun On the Run (12-33, 148k over turf) and multiple stakes placed Good Prospect (7-41, 255k over turf); Ortiz has won with 24 of 81 (30%) mounts for this barn in 2013.
Threecrackerchile
She didn't make much of an impression in her career debut and that was after going to post at over 40-1; note that she finished behind a few of today's rivals in her debut; she has the look of an outsider.
Royal Jest
It's safe to say that she outran her odds in her career debut, and if she can come right back with that level of performance, she figures to be tough to deal with; the added distance is a concern, but she commands her share of respect after a promising effort at first asking.
Quiet Kiss
One of two signed on in this spot for the Bush barn and it might be worth noting the presence of C.V. aboard this one; she looks like a legitimate threat in this spot, but she is going out for a barn that hasn't made much noise in 2013.
Life's a Stage
She has a little bit of turf in her pedigree, but she's also had her chances to show us what she can do, and it's tough to place confidence in her for the top spot when seeing that she's seeking her first win in start number 13.
Pie's First Lady
She finished behind today's rival Royal Jest in her latest start and she goes from the rail post to the outside; perhaps a minor award is within reach, but others entice more, and it looks like C.V. opted to pilot another in here.
Rosalie's Pleasure
She needs to see a scratch from the main body of this race in order to draw in and she looks like a decent fit at this level of competition; however, not sure how much stock to put into the improved performance last out when considering a very slow early pace helped her along.
Lakeview Lady
Flashy Bull has been a poor influence as a turf sire and this filly has yet to produce a performance that helps give her a competitive look in this spot, and that includes a couple of starts over turf.
Sky Lassie
It's certainly fair to question the dirt form that is signed on in this spot and this filly has a number of starts on her card that are strong enough to get the job done in this spot; she'll have the look of a top contender if this race has to be taken off the turf.
Music Maid
She recorded her best finish to date in her dirt debut in her latest start and this will be a favorable spot for her to make her second dirt start if this race has to be moved to the main track; she has the early speed to get involved in the running right from the bell.

Race 2

Clawback
Got back on track withg a big number when dropped in for a tag in his first start for older at Belmont earlier this fall and has been given some time to get over the effort; he's quick enough not to be compromised by the inside drawn and we know that he's capable of firing fresh; waters get deeper in this heat but this guy is an inner track SW so maybe the return to this venue helps keep him going; contender.
Park City
Lightly raced sophomore tries older for the first time while returning from nearly 9 months on the shelf with shades on; colt made nice late runs to take each of his sprint starts and this barn brings them back ready; pace should be honest and Castellano's presence may be further proof that this guy is wound for the comebacker.
Hannibal Lecter
Wasn't beaten much 2 back at the level before losing his best shot at the break last time; gelding goes third off the freshening here and maybe a move forward is on tap, but he'll need to improve quite a bit to prove a threat as his regular effort s not good enough to step with some of these.
Ravalo
First part of the entry ran them down while rallying from a wide spot which was not the place to be in his first start off this sharp outfit's claim; he's been freshened a bit which is an excellent move by this outfit and he does figure to get some pace to run into again here; classy 9 year old looks to be the one to down in here.
Isthmus
Didnt have much of an impact when shipped into this circuit to make his second start back from a year on the shelf; Rosario will stick with him as he makes his second start at the level and he does own some solid back efforts, but he'll need to prove he's back on his game.
Hackleton
Fresh colt makes his first start since catching a wet track at Belmont and backing out of the pace duel in the spring; he's another who was pretty good over the inner earlier in the year and maybe he'll get back on track here, but this could also be a trial run to get him ready to run over that winterized surface; siding with others on the win end.
Bet the Power
Barn's second in here makes his first start off their claim in his local debut and this is what they do best; he's proven capable of making a run into a nice clip and beating cheaper but he will catch a solid bunch in this spot; his mate drawn inside him defeated him quite handily the last time they met, but he's still worth a look in here.
Readytodefer
Adds the hood for his return from the freshening after failing to go on with some of these in his comebacker at Belmont; statebred is another who owns local back numbers that are good enough to win this, but his last couple of races at the level raise doubt as to whether he's the same runner; last week's breeze wasn't bad but he still has questions to answer.
Escrow Kid
Makes his first start off the claim by this out of town barn after beating cheaper in the Delaware slop; outfit did have this gelding in the past and did nice work with him so have to think they'll be able to move him forward and one of his career best numbers did come over the inner earlier in the year.
Dads Caps
Three year old has only run a few times but he's shown he has ability and now he'll get back in with older rivals; coltfird off works to begin his career so the brief freshening should help and he does figure to be right up with the pacesetters early; wasn't able to go on after tracking the pace in his lone start at this level at Saratoga, but he is a perfect 2 for 2 at today's trip.
Ground Force
Third of the barn's triumvirate seeks the repeat after scoring over cheaper in his first start off their buy; gelding draws towards the outside for the cut back and that should put him in a nice tracking spot; his pilot is listed on one of his mates so only one of the 2 will likely go, but he adds to their attraction.
Don Tito
Looked good scoring 2 back but that came against cheaper than he'll face in this spot and he wasn't really much of a factor late when stepped up to this level last time; he did run some solid ones out West last year and maybe he has a move forward here, but we'll limit his use to underneath in exotics.

Race 4

Heading to Boca
Commendable debut run 2 weeks ago while on a wide path; his sire won the G1 Hopeful and 239K; the dam won 2 of 8 attempts and 72K; among the winning siblings is 83K earner Colony Crossing.
Patty and Nooche
Extension in distance should work in this gelding's favor; his sire won multiple G1s and 3.63 million; the dam won 4 of 14 races and 46K; winning siblings include 49K bankroller Indian Treatment.
Woelf Den
No firepower shown on either surface thus far but note the tremendous improvement to the latest half-mile breeze; his sire is multiple champion Curlin who amassed 10.5 million; the dam won a G3 and 225K; this is her only foal to compete.
Matterhorn
Newcomer was sired by Tapit, winner of the G1 Wood Memorial and 557K; his descendants have won 54 out of 436 debuts; the dam scored in multiple G3s and 902K; winning siblings include 220K earner Title Contender.
Souper Lucky
Holds the edge in route experience and he ran a fine race in defeat in the last venture when losing all chance at the start; can effectively rally from midpack here and is an obvious fit; odds will be short once again.
Smarty Burns
Could not keep pace with Patty and Nooche in his debut but returns with Lasix; his sire won a G1 and 337K; the dam won her only race and 15K; among the winning siblings is 162K earner Supreme.
Howl
Beginner was sired by G1 type Arch who captured 480K and whose offspring have won nearly 11 percent of their initial races; the dam won 1 of 4 and 18K; this is her only foal to compete; moderate work tab on view.
Tonalist
See Matterhorn, above, for same sire information; this colt's dam won 1 of 19 attempts and 71K; among the winning siblings is 181K earner Elkhorn Creek; a long series of drills at five-eighths to consider.
Consistency
His talented sire won multiple G1s including the Belmont Stakes en route to earning 3.24 million (his offspring are 47 for 521 as far as winning their first test); the dam won 3 of 11 and 115K; winning siblings include 299K earner Love's Blush.
Harpoon
Disappointed at 2 to 5 last month but finally moves off the fence and can atone from clear outside slot; yet another offspring of Tapit in this field (see Matterhorn for stats); the dam won 2 of 3 and 48K; sib to 402K earner Cuvee; respect.

Race 5

I Got Id
Forced to steady when moving past a rival in distress, he showed he could overcome adversity but he broke poorly in last and that cost him;
Sidearm
Maybe he didn't appreciate the Finger Lakes surface; he was flattered when the winner that day took the $150K Bongard next out with a 90 Beyer;
So Lonesome
Awesome Again about 9% with first-time turfers in a 234-runner sample; sire took multiple Grade 1s routing, earned $4.3 million, never turfed; G3 placed dam won once, he juvenile debut sprinting, was 2nd in best grass effort; there are 2 double turf winners in the family including SW and over $250K earner No Spin;
Gridley Here
Youngster proved from the beginning he could pass horses; there is plenty of speed in here to help the closing cause; tab the nice grass work since the last effort on 10/19; got a feeling this guy will be a handful right back.
Court Dancer
War Chant about 14% with first-time turfers in a 242-runner sample; precocious sire was unbeaten in 2 starts on turf including the BC Mile, earned over $1.1 million; dam 0 for 7; one sibling cashed on grass won; that runner, City Spirit, earned over $200K but the turf win was a sprint; tactical speed may be her best asset.
Marvin's Miracle
Over 3 clear two back in the Grade 2 despite being ranked, pushed along in last but he may be better served settling a bit like he did in the maiden breaker; youngster had to fight on the lead all the way and just could not carry on with the momentum; could be looking at a similar fate here.
May Shares
Four clear in solid debut and the 2nd and 4th finishers in the maiden breaker graduated next out; miss was never fazed coming into face the boys in last and she extended when it counted; she appears to have a lot of try in her; repeat well within the scope.
Carolinian
Can never dismiss this kind of speed but he has lost ground late in every race except the maiden breaker; never thrilled to see them give up clear leads as he did in last and almost did in the September finale; not sure the race sets up all that great for him.
Social Rebellion
Colt overcame the bump at the break to win in game style and the race came back okay as the show horse took a MSW next out and the 6th finisher took a maiden $50K Meadowlands fray; could get away on the tote as he has been handled by a number of today's rivals.
Balderdash
He stumbled just before leaving the chute in last but gathered himself in time; he gets some class from bottom side as day won stakes, banked nearly $250K on grass; trainer got some gate work into him 8 days ago; has to prove he can perform from a marooned slot.
Blue Pigeon
Never simple to win long at first asking but gelding came back to earth in the Pilgrim; he doesn't have to be 10 off the pace this time; would not discount chances if scratches are kind.
Mark My Way
Homebred relished the extra distance and the blinkers last time; Rice tries to strike while the iron is hot and that has been a good play for her; the way he came away late was visually impressive; interesting.
Sioux
See So Lonesome for sire stats; dam out of the money twice; this is her first to race; fully extended for the win and we really don't know how much it may have taken out of him; could need softer foes to shine.
Lady's Smart Alec
Congaree 12 for 102 with first-time turfers; sire lost only starts at 2 and on grass but banked over $3.2 million; dam won 8 times, all sprints; lone half sis to race One Smart Farrah took 5 of 22, earned nearly $100K, took 3 routes; youngster got his last 8th in :13.05; would lean toward watching a route attempt.
Free Mugatu
Dull early and late in the Finger Lakes run as he is back with the original pilot; 2nd and 4th finishers in the debut graduated next out; dam was sprint only; the 2 siblings that routed on dirt were a combined 0 for 15 in that category; fact he won at first asking gives him a chance to fire fresh.
Swell
Like the way he looped the field and note show horse was clear; dam earned over $200K, was dirt route only; a half sister did graduate routing; like the series of drills since the debut; still has some things to iron out.

Race 6

Native Singer
Projects to own the best gate speed in this event with Stealth Steed; helps the cause that he cuts back in distance off the upset-maiden breaker but clearly a good sign that his 1st race over the track represents a career-best Beyer speed figure; the 3-back show finisher Beyered 79 in his next-out BEL-MSW win then repeated in an optional claimer with an 86; try to catch me.
Reggie D
Deep closer is winless since a December, 2012, 6F win over the track taking a 20K-maiden claimer; with 7 minor awards and 1 win on his resume he is one that has often raced well in defeat; the runner-up finisher from last Beyered 81 in a next-out win; the 2-back winner (now 3-for-3) and show finishers both won next out (97-93 Beyers); beat the 3-back show runner who scored next out with a 78 speed figure taking a SAR-20K claimer.
Rocket Hero
Plenty of time between races coming off nearly an 8-month layoff for this; regressed the Beyer 2nd-time out when beating 1 runner home with plenty of time to regroup for a super-fresh trainer; 1st time over the AQU Main posting a mild worktab for this; hopes to rally strongly enough in deep stretch to land a share.
Greeley's Law
Exits his lowest Beyer since February when wanting no parts of 2 turns at FL; has not shown anything since the June claim; his last win was on AQU Main but at 1 Mile; the 3-back show finisher Beyered 85 in his next-out AQU-optional-claiming win.
Junior Officer
1st race off the claim was a middle move off the 51-day absence; cuts back to his shortest-distance test since January; last win occurred at much longer than this; late runner hopes for a pace meltdown which is possible; the 3-back show runner Beyered 87 in his next-out BEL-optional-claiming win.
M P Joe
Projects to race midpack then hopes to rally past the speed; even finish in last when no match for Uncle Smokey who figures to get 1st run on him again today; reunites with the AQU-Main maiden-breaking rider for this; showed up with front wraps on for last pair without success.
Uncle Smokey
Figures to stalk a hot pace and should be tough to hold off late; a great sign that his 1st race off the claim represents his best Beyer since October, 2011; could have used the extra half furlong for last;p has been consistent since coming back from an over year layoff with 3 starts since; the pick.
Stealth Steed
Figures to go after Native Singer for the front as they both hope to hold off the closers; adding a half furlong onto latest fade does not help the confidence level for this however most-recent race represents a career-best Beyer; the 3-back show finisher posted a 68 speed figure in his next-out DEL-20K-claiming win.
One Smokin Cat
Projects to work out an ideal trip sitting just outside the main speed; was claimed off an 84-day layoff when completing the exacta behind a runaway winner; must pass the class test for this; the show runner 2-back Beyered 77 in a next-out SAR-20K-claiming win; defeated the 3-back runner-up who Beyered 70 in a next-out BEL-16K-maiden-claiming graduation.
Joe Mooch
Been best on a fast track which he did not get in last; faded badly in latest in a key race defeated by the show and 7th-place finishers as they Beyered 84-80 in next-out SAR-allowance and optional-claiming wins; projects to chase Native Singer and Stealh Steed to the front then hopes to find the missing stamina late.
Precious Metal
Late runner should projects to rally strongly into a hot pace; posted his best Beyer since the November, 2012, field-best speed figure performance over today's AQU-Main oval at 6F rallying from 7th; the rider from his career-best number is on Reggie D for this; seems the one to beat.

Race 7

Artic North
Have to respect the way that he's been able to record back-to-back wins since moving into this barn but this has to be considered a difficult spot for him to land in after shipping across country; prefer to keep looking around in here.
Imagining
Multiple stakes winner earned a career best Beyer Speed Figure in a winning performance over this turf course in his latest outing and he beat a couple of today's rivals in that race; he projects to sit a favorable trip after breaking from an inside post and Rosario has won with 7 of 24 (29%) mounts for this barn in 2013; must respect.
Exclusive Strike
Tough veteran is three races removed form a G1 stakes placing and he gave a solid account of himself when finishing behind a couple of today's rivals in his latest outing; one of the sharpest performances of his career was run over this turf course and he seems to like a little give in the ground.
Slip and Drive
Have to respect his overall turf form but he is going to need to step it up over what he's been doing lately if he's to threaten the top contenders in this spot; don't want to ignore the fact that a sharp barn sees fit to ship him here for this, but others entice more.
Sky Blazer
Multiple graded stakes placed performer has been beaten by a number of today's rivals in his eight starts this year while failing to record a single victory, but he has shown the ability to dial up a performance that is strong enough to make him competitive against competition of this caliber; Maragh has won with 4 of 7 mounts for this barn in 2013.
Tannery (IRE)
Interesting to see Rosario aboard another in here after taking down a G1 aboard her in her latest outing, and even thogh she's meeting up with boys today, she beat boys racing in Ireland, and she ran well when facing males in the G1 Sword Dancer at Saratoga three starts back.
Sandyinthesun
He's never run a race that is anywhere near strong enough to suggest that he can compete with these and he's been soundly defeated by a few of today's rivals in recent starts; strictly an outsider.
Hangover Kid
Grade 1 stakes placed 5-year-old might need a career best effort to get the job done in this spot, but he has some appeal when considering how well he's run when fresh during his career; late running type isn't out of the question and Ortiz gets plenty of live calls from this barn.
Howe Great
He's a G3 winner racing over turf, and despite recording just one win in 2013, he's been in good form this year; his latest start after a layoff was one of his better performances and going to look for him to be ready to give a good account of himself against these.
Mission Approved
He's a G1 winner racing over turf, and he figures to be involved in the running early on, but it would have been nice to have seen him show more in his latest outing while making his first start in nearly two years; he has a shaky look to him.
Hyper
He's run two bad races in his career, both overseas, and his recent form has been plenty strong enough to point him out as a top contender in this spot; add in a top turf barn and a go-to rider and there is plenty to be positive about in this direction.
Nutello
Thought that he ran a really nice race in earning a G1 stakes palcing in his first start in America, especially when considering how rank he was early on, and maybe it just wasn't his day when he beat one to the finish in his latest outing; going to look for Motion to have him ready to bounce back with a better effort, but it might be worth noting the presence of Lezcano aboard another in here.
Quick Casablanca (CHI)
He's multiple stakes placed since arriving in America but it does look like he's going to need to rpoduce his sharpest performance to date if he's to turn the tables on Hyper, and that rival has gotten the better of him in all three of his American turf starts.
Percussion
It looks like Sky Blazer and Hangover Kid might be the biggest concerns for this gelding if this race gets moved to the main track, and he's going to be tough to look past in that event; third finisher from latest won next out here on 11/8 going 7f in a 100k OPC with a 102 Beyer.

Race 8

Bond Vigilante
Proven locally, unbeaten at this journey and he may have hated having the slop kicked in his face last time; 8th finisher in last took an N3X at CD next out with a 103 Beyer and the 9th finisher took a $100K LRL stakes with a 93 figure; he's trained fast and steadily for this and is back with favorite pilot; respect.
Bug Juice
Stablemate in last ran third; note gelding did improve on the Beyer scale in the last second off the layoff run; he has a chance to get the trip as kin Watch the Phone was a double route winner; look for rider to put him into the race from the sound of the bell.
Moneyinyour Pocket
Out of the money only once at this distance, shorter trip could be just what the good doctor ordered; 9/21 show horse won next, but just against $8500 claimers; place horse 9/31 took an N2R allowance at FL in next and was 2nd beaten 2 here in a $25K optional 2 weeks ago; may like it here.
Brigand
This colt is fresh and dangerous; shades off, just like they were for the last 2 wins and he has trained forwardly for this; best when sent along, but runner can sit just off the pace and still thrive; he got a boost when the winner of the DeFrancis repeated in a $50K Charles Town stakes; a repeat of his 2013 debut and the rest may be looking at minor awards.
Socialsaul
Gelding must prove he can win off the pine; he has lost all 4 return efforts; note it took him nearly a month to post the recorded drill after the last effort; note place horse in last was 5 clear; could need softer to shine.
Fox Rules
Best of 19 bullet locked and loaded; game in the win last time and the mile should be even better for him; note place horse in last was over 4 clear; toss the 8/18 race as he disliked the synthetic; should be sitting in a tactical spot, just not sure he is good enough at this point in time.
Zivo
Must respect his consistency; between horse in the other stakes try and note he hooked a repeated that day; this guy is sharp as a tack right now and you must respect everything from this outfit.
Spa City Fever
Veteran has had a nice career but wonder if he is losing the zest for the game?; only the one win this year and that was against only 2 foes; can't be thrilled with the local slate and he had dead aim in last but could not capitalize; needs very best.
Zetterholm
Had to be off 14 months for a legit reason; wraps added for both races this year and he is facing a couple that have had his number; try to get a good look at him on the track for confirmation before taking a swing.
Awesome Vision
Toss the Cole; wrong surface; runner was then hung out to dry in last; proven here, note the outside post sure didn't bother him in the SAR finale; don't fret about the recent drills as runner seldom is taxed in the a.m.; expect a much better effort here.

Race 8

Genuine Flare
7 weeks to regroup off the debut loss when tiring at today's distance but held on well to lose by just 2 lengths for all the money and in a barn not known to win 1st-time out; figures for an ideal trip saving ground while stalking Ferlin Husky, Waco and Gibson's Bullet; latest looks better since the winner repeated in a BEL-100K stakes with an 85 Beyer speed figure.
Smooth Daddy
Rematch with Patent who got the better of him when racing 1st time with blinkers on; late runner gets a good pace setup here however the rider of last 2 in-the-money finishes sides with Gibson's Bullet for this; off latest is ranked a tad behind the top contenders.
Nicholson
Sire is 23-for-185 with 1st-turf starters; 38-227 with 2-year-old 1st-time starters; is out of a 2-for-10 dam (52K) who finished off the board in her only grass start; her only other foal to race is 3-for-23 Recession Buster (25K) who did not compete on turf.
Gibson's Bullet
Projects to be part of the pace with Ferlin Husky and Waco; hopes to sit just off the early speed here after finishing well at shorter; keeps the debut rider who seemingly had other options today; has been working nicely on dirt for this and if offers a 2nd-time out improvement it makes him a major player.
That's a Kitten
Sire is 45-for-281 with 1st-turf starters; 35-208 with 2-year-old 1st-time starters; is out of a 1-for-14 dam (83K) who went 2-0-0-0 on grass; her only other foal to race is full Gentleman's Kitten (3-for-6, 132K) who only raced on turf and finished 7th in the career debut then won his next 2 starts.
Waco
Projects as the one to catch with Gibson's Bullet and Ferlin Husky both chasing him to the front; posted his best Beyer on turf so should like the return to the green today facing 3 next-out winners in his debut (81-70-63 Beyers); know him early but unsure about late.
Ferlin Husky
May end up pressing the pace of Ferlin Husky and Waco while wide; right on the lead in last after nothing in the key-race debut chasing the winner and runner-up on dirt next-out 93-63 Beyer BEL-Grade 1 and CD-MSW winners.
Sheldon
Exits a co-field-best Beyer after being primed for this facing Grade 3 compeition; always a big fan of maidens facing winners now back in to test winless friends again; late runner gets a great pace setup here while 1st Lasix only adds to the appeal on the pick
Western Exchange
Sire is 32-for-273 with 1st-turf starters; 38-266 with 2-year-old 1st-time starters; is out of an unraced dam who produced 2 winners from 2 other foals to race including 135K-earner The Rectifer (5-for-28) who won 4-of-23 on grass.
Deimos
Sire is 0-for-16 with 1st-turf starters; is the 1st foal out of an 0-for-1 grass dam; outrun throughout 9 weeks ago on dirt; the added distance and grass are serious issues; the trainer goes to a 26% win rider but overall others appeal more.
Gara Gattino
Was screaming out for more distance in his favored-debut loss to Gibson's Bullet and gets it here; has every chance to turn the tables on that one with the race experience; has been working sharply on dirt for this as the sizzling-AQU rider stays right here; seems the one to beat.
Seal Team Six
Sire is 45-for-474 with 1st-turf starters; 59-350 with 2-year-old 1st-time starters; is the 1st foal out of a Group 3 dam (1-for-9, 87K) who was 0-for-1 on North American grass; the trainer yields just 3% debut winners since 2012.
Breakeven Analysis
Broke next-to-last in an improved-2nd-career start while adding blinkers hoping he can get out of the gate better to turn the tables on Patent and others; 1 post in last now is drawn wide so has plenty to prove with a ground-losing trip likely.
Patent
Clearly has been best on turf chasing a sharp winner from last while working a dirt bullet for this; seems set for a big effort; another outside draw today after breaking widest for last; winds up from the back of the pack but gets a good pace flow to rally into for this; contender.
Can'thelpbelieving (IRE)
Exits a co-field-best Beyer 1st time in the USA when saving ground then completing the KEE exacta; some 1st-time imports fire their very-best USA races 1st time in the states which is the lone issue for this; displayed ability in the debut also; would be a major player if in.
Justin Nguyen
Grass debut produced his best Beyer since the 6F-dirt career-best speed figure; blinkers on for latest did not help the gate speed as he broke next to last; others have been working better in the mornings than this one.
