Race 2 Looksgoodfromhere Beyers going in the right direction, nothing wrong with the turf debut and note she show horse was well clear; the 3rd and 6th finishers in the LRL race graduated next out and the winner that day repeated in a $16K N2L claimer with a 57 Beyer; 3 for 10 dam was route only, lost only try on turf; 6 of 7 siblings won; one cashed once on grass; should give a very good account of herself. Race and Shine Wide from post 10 in bow, nice try on the stretch out; the 2nd and 4th finishers in the debut graduated next out and the winner repeated in a $100K stakes with a 77 Beyer; turf only 3 for 18 dam banked over $100K; lone full bro to race lost 14 times; expect better effort today. Great Cross The drop is logical for this $25K purchase; 3 for 22 dam won on grass once, earned over $100K; full sibling Sassy Kitten won on grass once in her racing debut when 3 at KD; more experienced pilot hired this time; must hurry. Charlie Renee She has improved once sent long and was inching toward the winner in last; Lopez fits this runner; could see him asking hard from the sound of the bell; just may get brave with a lonely lead. Freud's Sunset Can't fault those that give homebred another shot although she is in open company this time; she ran her eyeballs out in defeat in the other miler and should be on the muscle from the get go; dam took on sprint, never turfed; all 3 sibs won; none tried grass or were special; contender, far from a cinch. Heaven Help Me Miss popped and stopped and never thrilled to see them bear out; place horse in bow graduated next out in a MSW at LRL, then was out of the money in a $40K optional; both of dam's wins came on grass; both sibs won, one on grass; trainer has spotted them fine all year with limited starters. Miss Lilian Taylor Cold on the board twice, blinks really didn't help in last; dam won one sprint, never turfed; lone half sis took one sprint, was 3rd in best turf result; probably needs softer to shine. From Tiz Moment On Fourth new pilot takes the reins; stakes winning 7 for 26 dam earned over $450K, was 2nd in best turf result; this is her first to race; in for half of her purchase price today; has some things to iron out. Red Constitution Connections tried the hood to no avail last time, now they put the for sale sign on; 4 for 22 turf only dam earned nearly $115K; this is her first to race; a bit more keen to run last time early, should have her sea legs under her by now. Check the Credit Can't be thrilled with the grass debut; 2 for 25 dam was dirt route only; lone half sis lost 4 times; Empire-bred may need own kind to show top talent. Ginablu Bet like a good thing in last but she was only a brief threat; at least we know she has some semblance of speed off the debut; 3 for 15 dam banked nearly $100K, won on grass once; 5 of 6 sibs won; half bro Logic Way took a stakes, won nearly $650K, $325K of it on grass; got a feeling we have not seen the best of this one. Fancy 'n Flight Miss bobbled early and lost her best shot; SW 4 for 27 dam earned $350K, won twice on grass; several multiple race winners in the tree; one cashed 4 times on grass, banked nearly $150K; must show more after seeing all the heels. Go Solo Shows for a tag, but maybe she belonged here all the time as a $5,500 purchase; 10 for 95 dam was third in best turf moment; 2 of 4 sibs won in the minor leagues and note on grass; tough to endorse here. Stage Name Bellamy Road 4 for 18 with first-time turfers; sire took debut at 2, won the Wood on way to over $800K career, never turfed; one for 10 dam did win on grass; 4 of 5 siblings won, 2 were full sibs, 2 won on grass in the minor leagues; maybe she hated the rail in the debut. Too Many Pockets She has yet to raise a gallop and hard to fathom the blinks will be the cure all; 4 of dam's 5 wins came on grass; this is her first to race; not sure how you spin this form in the right direction. Pari Nath Boxcars every time and is looking at the same fate at the windows; the lone positive may be fact the beaten margins are getting shorter. Race 3 Carole Lee Hasn't been much of a threat since returning from Saratoga and now she'll give this level another shot on the stretchout; filly moves to the fence without a lot of early foot but maybe she's able to secure a decent spot early at this trip; tough to get too excited about her chances off what she's done of late, but there's not a whole lot in here. Candy's Luck Lightly raced filly returns quickly for the surface switch after coming up empty late in her roughly run turf debut; she didn't do much at the level on dirt 2 back and there's not a lot to suggest she'll go better in here; have to pass on this longshot. Isn'tshewonderfull Last out runner up on the drop to this level beat one of today's foes to the wire rather handily while rallying further out into the track; she has had a handful of chances but it was encouraging to see her offer sit a little closer early last time and that could help her in a field without a defined pace scenario; repeat of that last one makes her a big threat. Transit Express Ran big behind a subsequent repeater in her Saratoga debut run before getting caught in a wide spot on the stretchout to this trip early last month; she wasn't beaten all that much by some of these last time and she's lightly raced so it wouldn't be a surprise to see her bounce back at an improved price; consider. Canela Rose Made up some ground after sitting down inside at this trip last time; filly wasn't beaten much 2 back in her first crack at the level so she's proven she can step with these; gal who split her and the winner last time returns in here as well, though, and she looked to have a tougher journey than this filly did; she'll need to move forward some in a field without much early foot. Lady C Note She was eliminated the start while drawing the fence in what was to be her first crack with statebreds early last month; filly wasn't a threat to the top 2 finishers in her debut, but she does cut back a panel from that heat here and maybe the shorter trip will help, but she'll need to get more involved from the bell. Curlin N Twirlin Drops in for a tag for the initial time while switching surfaces for an outfit that excels with the move; filly ran well over the inner this past winter and she worked well across town last week for this so expect she'll have little trouble handling dirt; she's had her chances and will likely take plenty of tote support, but they'll have her to beat. Music Maid She's another in for a tag for the initial time but she does it off a couple of ugly turf running lines; filly is bred to be ok on dirt and she has been working over the local main track for a while; catches a soft bunch and gets a switch to a capable journeyman pilot so maybe that helps her some here. Gingee Hood comes off for her return from the brief break for a low percentage outfit; she wasn't far off the winner at this trip upstate this summer, but her most recent crack at the level wasn't very good; have to side with others today. Eva Lil Mare has been off more than 3 months after again failing to offer much on this circuit; she'll go first time for a little known outfit today while switch back to a pilot who is winlss on the year; has the look of a big longshot once again. Race 4 Poppa Loves Mambo Winless this year, yes, but 3 2nd in 7 starts shows he's run some nice races; comes off a good 2nd in the mud at SAR Sept. 2, too; that being said, all that work, including the good stuff, has come vs. lesser than he faces here; does have speed but note 'Samurai whipped him pretty easily on this track in April. Point Taken Consideriing he threw his head at the start in his Oct. 11 sprint at BEL he ran on fairly well to be 4th, though that won't make those who made him the 2-1 favorite feel any better; been a pro for a while - you don't win 8 times by accident; that being said, the bulk of his best work has come going longer than this but at least he comes here in good form and has handled this place well. Crackerjack Jones Won 3 of last 4, all sprints, so you know he comes here riding high; of course, all that work came vs. NY-breds - he's facing open foes today; has speed and versatility, and that 91 Beyer he got ast BEL last time shows he's got the necessary oomph. Dawly Been knocking on the door for some time - that's 8 2nds and 2 3rds in his last 10 starts; many of those came in spots similar to this so you know he's a good fit; still, his habit of being the bridesmaid instead of the bride makes you wonder, is he's simply alawys going to find someone who's just a smidge too tough at this level, hmmm? Sokitumi Samurai 2 for 3 here, so returning to this place likely gives him some good feelings; may be ready to peak, too, as after a string of so-so outing he popped up with 2 improved efforts in October, both at this 7f trip; while he's been coming from off the pace of late note in the spring he showed enough tactical speed to translate to him being prominent from the bell. Isn'tlovejustgrand Comes here off a game win over NY-breds, which is nice; trouble is, that came on turf and 5 of his 6 wins have come on turf; the lone win that didn't came on a wet track; he's 0 for 14 on dry land so maybe he needs turf or a track with some moisture in it for his best; at least comes here sharp and Maragh stays with him. Ithastobegeorge Came back from a long layoff in super form this spring/summer but after 3 good races things tailed off a bit in his last 2; can't blame the track (BEL) as his big maiden win came over that track months earlier; at least there's no panicky drop by Morley but he was fairly well beaten in his last 2, both in spots similar to this, so does it make you wonder if he's now on the down side of his form cycle, hmmmm? Race 5 The Lost Tigress Some upbeat workouts for this beginner with a focus on the one of 10/4; her sire won multiple G1s and 1.12 million; progeny of Henny Hughes have won nearly 11 percent of their debuts; the dam won 1 of 12 and 69K; among the winning sibs is 32K earner Acadian Connection. Gu Gu Beans Offspring of Freud, who won 1 of 12 and 44K, have scored in 39 out of 340 initial starts; the dam scored in 1 of 4 appearances earning 37K; winning siblings include 215K bankroller Whateverittakes. Lady Luciano Progressive nature to her workout pattern; the sire involved won the G1 Suburban and 454K overall; descendants of Frost Giant have won 4 of 30 debuts; the dam won 6 of 28 and 93K; winning siblings include 32K earner Solid Gold Victory. Thatza Wrap Quit early in her upstate debut when hampered by an outside racing path; her sire won the G1 King's Bishop and 2.67 million; the dam won 3 of 11 attempts and 61K; winning siblings include 39K earner Leap. Lady Rhubarb Decent gate speed shown in the last pair and there is not much known pace opposition on view; solid trainer/jockey combination is a distinct plus but she might be overbet in this spot; conflicting signals. Peach Lake That was a deceptive second effort where she launched a fair bid on the inside; most recent training track breezes are strong; her sire won the G1 Hopeful and 1.16 million; the mom won 1 of 15 and 6K; sib to 206K earner Major Idea. Possetivevibration She broke alertly in her turf debut last month but faded wide; her sire won a G2 and 662K while the dam won 6 of 30 and 79K; winning siblings include 192K earner Willy's Wicked Way; stabled here, she is worth some inclusion. Skye Saratoga Lost a 3-way place photo in her maiden voyage after moving strong to the lead in midstretch; her sire won a G1 and 2.19 million while the dam was zero for 3 lifetime; winning siblings include 59K earner Brickhouse Baby; playable. Underthemoonlight See the previous runner for information about the same sire (descendants of Golden Missile have won 44 out of 425 debuts); the dam was unraced and this is her only foal to make it to the starting gate. Recovered Retired early in her first run against claimers; see Possetivevibration, above, for info about the same sire; the dam won 1 of 3 and 10K; winning siblings include 90K earner Catalonia; nice breeze on 10/14 helps with this steep climb. Nowurcookinwithgas She has been training very well of late; her sire won multiple G1s and 2.28 million; offspring of Mineshaft have scored in 18 out of 288 initial attempts; the dam never competed; this is her sole foal to race. On a Snowy Evening Tries blinkers after showing some prompting speed in her first turf route; see Lady Luciano, above, for same sire information; the dam won 4 of 23 and 83K; winning siblings include 152K earner Hubbard. Race 7 Eyes of Midas She was third at this level and distance last out and note the race went in good time; can be closer to the pace here if the fractions are more moderate, but not sure that will be the case as there appears to be a fair amount of speed in this spot; one who can share. Dee Dee's Comet She is giving up recency to these as she has not seen action since March; do like that she brings a useful stalking style to the table; she's also a half-sister to At the Disco, a multiple stakes winner of $545K; comebacker is one to preview in the paddock. Pennymine She shortens up some in distance and the move would seem to suit runner whose maiden score came at this trip; like that she has natural speed, and she could get a tracking trip behind such rivals as Pegasus Diamond, Daisysgonnamakeit and perhaps Golden Galaxy; dam was a Grade 3 winner of $601K. Hot Rendezvous She tries something new this afternoon as this will be her first start on dirt; has been a regular on turf throughout her young career, and last out was a clear maiden winner over the lawn at Bel; is bred for success on the main track; a concern is that she could regress some in her first start against winners. Karakorum Elektra She's a class act as a 13-time winner who has earned $484K; all of those wins have come on the green, so 9-year-old will be attempting to win on dirt for the first time in her career in this spot; has an experience edge on these, and in her one prior start on dirt, she was second in a race at Aqu; she's a racehorse, and gets much respect from this corner. Pegasus Diamond She was third last out in a race that has become a key one; the winner came back in her next start to take an N2X allowance at FL with a Beyer Figure of 78, and the fifth-place finisher, My Wildest Dreams, a $4,500 claimer by seven lengths, also at FL, for which she earned a Beyer of 53; dangerous with flashback. Typhoon Teri She outran her odds last out when she split the field at 43-1; the race came at this level, and note it went in good time; a concern is that she must again face a pair who finished in front of her last out in Eyes of Midas and Run a Dubb Dubb; looks to be in tough in this spot. Run a Dubb Dubb She exits the same quick optional claimer as Eyes of Midas and Typhoon Terry; rallied from well back and might again get pace to fuel her run as there appears to be a nice amount of speed in this spot; she also can move forward in her second race since August; still, draws into a deep field. Golden Galaxy Kentucky invader is an 11-time winner facing mostly less experienced rivals aside from Karakorum Elektra; this one steps up in price off the claim last out and with the return to New York gets as a shot at statebreds; is a winner at Aqu, and owns the field's best last-race Beyer Figure; has speed and might get a stalking trip behind Daisygonnamakeit, or perhaps Pennymine and Pegasus Diamond; win candidate. Daisysgonnamakeit She again gets the widest gate, one start after breaking from the 11-hole; has the speed to get position, and suspect she could show the way here or track Golden Galaxy, Pennymine or Pegasus Diamond; ran a credible race last out in her first start since April, and would seem to have reason to move forward in her second start back; also like that she's a winner at Aqu; win candidate. Race 8 No Nukes Been a new runner on dirt since the long layoff although style suggests he may be very best at distances longer than 6F; gives an extra pound to St. Sincere after being edged by that one 20 days ago; new rider is his 5th different jockey in as many races which is not a good win angle. Four Zees 1st dirt start today off the long layoff beating 1 runner in last 2 races combined; the dirt worktab for this was not very appealing while the barn saw him regress his Beyer speed figure 2nd-time out which is almost always an improvement race; trainer is 0-for the last-14 with 1st-Lasix runners; the debut winner repeated in a SAR-optional claimer with an 84 Beyer. Know This Declining Beyers and 3 straight double-digit length defeats pre-rest; his career-best Beyer was racing over today's AQU-Main oval when rallying from last; only exacta finish was at longer than this; the workout for this was not enticing so will be taking a wait and see approach. Market Blaster Best Beyer at longer over the track; exits his lowest speed figure since November, 2012; gets in with his lowest weight assignment of 2013 while his 2-back dirt sprint was a solid effort chasing a runaway winner; figures to sit back early then make 1 run; one race at this level was his exacta finish; fits well here. M P Ruckus 5 of last 6 starts are in-the-money finishes including latest on turf where he missed the start but raced well in defeat; main knock is that 2 of his last 3 races are career-low Beyers; today is his 1st start on AQU dirt and gets in with his lightest-weight assignment ever for this; the 3-back winner repeated in a MTH alw. with a 67 Beyer. Keyaly 48 days since snapping a 3-race in-the-money strreak; last exacta finish was on AQU dirt but owns his best Beyer on a wet-main track doing the rain dance for this; the barn is 1-for the last-20 with runners coming off similar layoffs; the 3-back winner repeated in a BEL-35K claimer with an 89 Beyer. Go to the Net 112-day layoff since landing off the board vs M P Ruckus who's had his number in 2013; have to go back to March, 2012, to see his last AQU-Main race finishing 3rd in a key race as the winner and runner-up finishers Beyered 82-68 in next-out PRX-starter alw. and AP-MSW wins. Copper Beeches New barn after defeating 1 runner combined in 2 turf losses; offered brief speed off the bench 1st Lasix and blinkers with a Beyer improvement; figures part of the pace here in the 1st dirt start; the workout for this does not impress however the new trainer is 2-for-7 since 2012 first-time out with newly-acquired runners. Fifth Gear In with his lightest-weight assignment ever trying to provide better stamina off 4 straight fades; the addition of blinkers and Lasix did not produce the desired results hoping the new dirt surface will provide some answers. St. Sincere Just missed in the 1st dirt start when troubled as the favorite; gets an extra pound from No Nukes with the lone issue being whether he can carry that BEL form to the AQU Main; 29%-winning-maiden-claiming trainer and in with his lightest-weight assignment ever adds to the appeal; figures to sit just off the speed before getting 1st run on the closers. Spirited Touch Field-best Beyer was posted at much longer on SA dirt; cuts way back in distance and despite showing good-gate speed at longer he has not fared as well in 2 races at 6F or shorter; new barn wins 27% 1st-time out with newly-acquired runners; in with his lowest-weight assignment ever; figures the one to catch in a race lacking much other gate speed. Got the Moves Took zero betting money for the grass-debut loss showing no gate speed while cutting back to 6F for this is a major issue; leaves a high-percentage trainer into a barn winless in 2013; some runners move forward dramatically 2nd-time out but he would be a real shocker. Commanding Officer Posted a career-best Beyer right off the nearly 7-month layoff and with a better-gate break could turn the tables on the runners who just beat him; bounce chance off the new Top following a freshening while breaks widest again sure to lose ground; would be a dangerous rival if can move forward off latest.
