Aqueduct carryover now $118K

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - Saturday's stakes-filled card at Aqueduct got even more interesting with the fact there is a pick 6 carryover of $118,970 entering the day. This is the fifth multi-day carryover of the five-week main track meeting.

There was a $30,669 carryover entering Friday, but most tickets were dead after Running Dog ($38.20) won the second leg of the wager in race 5. After Mini Sermon ($15.80) won the Top Flight Handicap - the second-to-last leg of the pick-six - there were no more live tickets remaining. There were only three consolation tickets (5 of 6) that each returned $9,811.

Saturday's pick 6 features four stakes topped by the Grade 1 Cigar Mile featuring Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Midnight Lute. Also on the card and in the pick 6 sequence are the $200,000 Remsen; $200,000 Demoiselle and $100,000 Discovery. The pick-six begins with a New York-bred maiden sprint race on dirt and ends with a New York-bred first level-allowance race on turf.
