Barbara D. Livingston Aqueduct has canceled racing for Sunday, the ninth weather-related cancellation of the winter.
OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Live racing scheduled for Sunday at Aqueduct was canceled due to a blizzard warning and a forecast that calls for between 18 and 24 inches of snow and high winds in the New York City metropolitan area scheduled to start later in the afternoon.
Aqueduct was also to be closed for simulcasting.
This was the ninth weather-related full-card cancellation of the winter, all since Jan. 24. The final five races of the Jan. 17 card were also canceled due to weather.
Live racing is scheduled to continue on Thursday with a seven-race card beginning at 1:10 p.m.
