KEY CONTENDERS
Anythingyoucando, by Curlin
Last 3 Beyers: 66-69-84
◗ The Kentucky-based mare will be making her stakes debut off a fourth-place finish in a first-level allowance June 30 at Churchill. The race was a one-turn mile, and she will move back to two turns Saturday. Anythingyoucando was a 10-length maiden winner at two turns last year at Lone Star Park.
◗ Anythingyoucando races for her trainer, Steve Asmussen, and will be ridden by Alfredo Juarez Jr. Earlier this year, Asmussen and Juarez teamed up to win the Grade 3, $800,000 Sunland Park Derby with Hence.
◗ Anythingyoucando could get a stalking trip behind such rivals as Alizarin Beauty, Bright Town, and She’s Reddy, who enters off a sprint start at Prairie Meadows in Iowa.
Warrens Puppy Love, by Mongol Warrior
Last 3 Beyers: 65-59-71
◗ She will seek her second straight stakes win, following a June 11 victory in the $30,000 Molly Brown at Arapahoe Park in Colorado. The start came over six furlongs. She was up for a nose win in 1:10.80.
◗ Warrens Puppy Love is stretching back to two turns. Last year, she missed by a neck in the Albuquerque Distaff, won by Exposure. That race also came at this one-mile distance.
◗ Tracy Hebert has the mount for trainer Nancy Summers.
