Alwaysintomischief remained perfect against Ohio-breds with a three-quarters of a length win in the $75,000 Daryl E. Parker Memorial Tall Stack Stakes for 3-year-olds on Friday at Belterra Park.
Alwaysintomischief ($2.80), sent away favored, got a perfect stalking trip under Abel Cedillo, sitting in second a length off Spellcast. He swept around the turn in the three path to take command, and held his edge over the game pacesetter to the wire. It was two lengths back to Gunner Gabriel in third.
The time for the 6 1/2 furlongs on a fast track was 1:18.57.
Alwaysintomischief, trained by Eric Foster for RMS Racing, made his first three starts in open company on Tapeta at Turfway Park. After a front-running maiden victory in his second career start, he closed from 10th to finish third to stablemate Joe Shiesty in a March allowance/optional-claiming race. Joe Shiesty came back to take the William Walker Stakes last week at Churchill Downs.
