Allowance races spice up Rainbow 6
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLEHALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – The Rainbow 6 survived for the eighth consecutive day Sunday, with the carryover standing at nearly $128,000 when racing resumes Wednesday
There will be two $43,000 allowance races in Wednesday’s Rainbow 6 sequence, the sixth at six furlongs on the main track for fillies and mares, and the eighth, which is scheduled to be run at five furlongs for 2-year-old fillies on the grass.
The undefeated pair of Whistle and Jezzle may vie for favoritism in the sixth race along with Annathela, an impressive maiden winner at Churchill Downs in June before going to the sidelines for six months. Battle Tux, the only multiple winner in the field, also figures to garner plenty of attention at the windows.
As is usually the case in five-furlong turf sprints, the eighth race is up for grabs. Among the contenders are the undefeated A Great Time, Richie’s Sister, Celtic Moonlight, and Midnight Union.
