Only Thataint Tooshabby and Love Her Lots have more than a single win. Thataint Tooshabby posted back-to-back victories on turf, including a three-length starter-allowance triumph here on Feb. 11 for which she received a career-best 68 Beyer Speed Figure.
Love Her Lots has won two of four starts, but has yet to win on turf, capturing her maiden at first asking going six furlongs on the dirt and a high-priced starter allowance over the Tapeta strip. She did turn in a promising grass debut last month against entry-level allowance opposition when finishing second, beaten three-quarters of a length by the 8-5 My Philly Twirl.
Demogorgon, who finished a head behind Love Her Lots in their previous encounter, will also demand plenty of respect, as should the graded stakes-tested pair of Philly Eagles and Jumeirah. Last-out maiden winners Beechnut Trophy, Running Legacy, and American Heroine complete the lineup.
◗ The Rainbow 6 was hit here Sunday, returning $342,836 for the lone winning ticket sold on a difficult sequence that included a $24.40 winner and a $36.80 winner. The 5-1 Howboutdemapples won the finale as one of three horses alive to win the jackpot.
