All Wired Up sets track record

Mary Rampellini|Oct 20, 2007
All Wired Up helped the Delta Downs meet get off to a fast start Friday, when he set a track record for five furlongs in the opening-night feature, the $55,000 Zydeco Stakes. All Wired Up covered the distance in 57.24 seconds, lowering the track's mark of 57.49 set by Britt's Jules on Nov. 5, 2003.

All Wired Up ($4.60) led throughout to pick up his second straight win in the Zydeco. He set fractions of 22.12 for the opening quarter and 45.02 for the half-mile mark before going on to a five-length win over Captain Buddy. It was another two lengths back in third to High Strike Zone.

Marlon St. Julien was aboard favorite All Wired Up for trainer Brandon Marks. The horse earned $33,000 for Whispering Oaks Farm. All Wired Up has now won 9 of 19 starts and $340,699.
