All On Red to get back on dirt in Prince of Wales Stakes

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Queen’s Plate third-place finisher All On Red will join winner Sir Dudley Digges in the field for the $500,000 Prince of Wales Stakes on July 26 at Fort Erie Racetrack.
Trainer Sid Attard said All On Red has come out of the Queen’s Plate in good order. He added that he didn’t have any concerns about All On Red’s ability to run on dirt after he won his maiden with a career-best 90 Beyer Speed Figure on dirt at Aqueduct two starts back April 24.
“He’s doing very good so far,” Attard said. “He’s a nice horse. I don’t think [he’ll have any issues on dirt]. I’m going to be training him on the dirt now, too.”
All On Red closed into the slow pace July 3 to be beaten 2 1/4 lengths in the Queen’s Plate under jockey Eurico Da Silva after making a sustained move along the backstretch and through the far turn. Attard said he had hoped to see All On Red a little closer to the pace, but the colt didn’t break cleanly from the gate.
“It was tough luck,” he said. “We didn’t want to be so far back, but he stumbled coming out of the gate. He was sitting too far back.”
