As the World Pool Ambassador for the 2025 season, four-time winner of the LONGINES World’s Best Jockey Award Ryan Moore will be providing regular blogs and insight ahead of key World Pool racedays.

Trainer Robert Taylor celebrated a milestone victory on Thursday (Sept. 11) at Harrah's Hoosier Park, scoring his 1,000th career victory when he also drove Forward Path to victory in the evening's eighth race.
The Little Brown Jug Society announced on Thursday that UMH Properties, Inc. has been named the sponsor of the Jugette (Grade 1) for 3-year-old pacing fillies. The 55th edition of the Jugette will be contested on Wednesday, September 17 during the Delaware County Fair.

On a picture-perfect late summer day at the hilltop half-mile track called MGM Yonkers Raceway, horses from varied countries will convene to compete for $1,000,000 and one of the best trophies in the sport of harness racing. The G1 MGM Yonkers International Trot brings together seven nations on Saturday afternoon and the comradery will have begun long before the starter says go for the field of 10 elite competitors.

All eyes will certainly be on the $1,000,000 MGM Yonkers International Trot on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. (EDT), but fans of the sport may not want to tune out too quickly as less than 30 minutes later MGM Yonkers Raceway will host the $200,000 Bob Miecuna Invitational, also for trotters going 1 1/4 miles.
There are plenty of opportunities to buy Ohio-bred yearlings – the Blooded Horse Sale, the Buckeye Classic, even Lexington or Harrisburg. But the best source for the most winners is the Ohio Select Jug sale, which is held the Friday before Jug Week at the Pickaway Agricultural Center in Circleville, Ohio.
