As fast as Belgian ran on the dirt in his debut, trainer George Weaver admitted it was tempting to keep the 2-year-old colt on that surface for his next start. However, Weaver believes Belgian is meant to be a turf horse, which is why he's elected to run him in Friday's Grade 3, $175,000 Futurity Stakes going six furlongs over Aqueduct's outer turf course.
