Lone Star Park on Friday night was forced to cancel its second through ninth races, including the Grade 3, $200,000 Texas Mile, after a severe thunderstorm moved into the area. The Texas Mile has been rescheduled for next Friday night, May 1, according to Bart Lang, director of racing for Lone Star.
Sent off as the heavy favorite in the $51,100 Maturity at The Meadows, Shake It Cerry failed in her first start of 2015. The double millionaire, making her 4-year-old debut, faded to fourth in the lane as Daylon Miracle won easily in 1:53 3/5.
