Joe Bravo completed a sweep of the three stakes at Belmont Park on Saturday by guiding Big Blue Kitten to victory in the Grade 3, $150,000 Fort Marcy Stakes.
Habitat made life easy for driver Yannick Gingras in Saturday’s $133,170 Dexter Cup, taking the lead after the first turn and cruising to a 3-3/4 length win over Divisionist in 1:56 4/5 at Freehold Raceway.
Finnegans Wake was a cut below the nation’s best grass horses until late in his 5-year-old year. Then he headed west and blossomed into California’s top turf horse in the winter and spring.
Rizwan became a stakes winner on Saturday, when he held off Comanche’s Storm by a neck in the $75,000 English Channel Stakes at Gulfstream Park. It was another two lengths back to Persuasive in third.
