NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance adds language to boost drug-testing integrity

Harness: Hannah Miller crowned top amateur driver

She’s known as “Hurricane Hannah” because she has taken amateur racing by storm. This year, in her first full season of driving, and overwhelmingly against male counterparts, Hannah Miller has won 32 races and will finish with a .425 UDR in 118 drives. For her prowess, the United States Harness Writers Association has unanimously named her the National Amateur Driver of the Year, making her the first woman to win this award.

Historical racing hot subject for Texas commission meeting

The topic of historical racing machines has been placed on the Dec. 15 meeting agenda of the Texas Racing Commission, according to the agency’s spokesman, Robert Elrod. During the meeting, the commission may vote to repeal the rules on historical racing, which were put in place in 2014.
