NYQUIST overcame a wide trip and concern that his form was tailing off by beating all the top candidates for the divisional title, securing an Eclipse Award, and remaining unbeaten in five starts while making his first start outside of California.
NBC and its sister networks will produce nine broadcasts in the summer and fall next year featuring live coverage of 16 prep races for the Breeders’ Cup under a three-year renewal of a broadcasting contract between the two parties, the groups announced on Monday.

Don’t Be So Salty, who won the Display Stakes at Woodbine on Nov. 29, is among trainer Gary Contessa’s 16-horse string at the Palm Meadows training center in south Florida for the winter. But Don’t Be So Salty will be targeting Turfway Park’s series for 3-year-olds, the trainer said, because of the gelding’s 2-for-2 record over synthetic surfaces.
