All Included ends long layoff in turf allowance Sunday
RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLE
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – All Included, who finished third in the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap last February, returns from a 9 1/2-month layoff and will be eligible to be claimed for $62,500 when going postward as the likely favorite in Sunday’s $49,000 main event, carded at 7 1/2 furlongs on the grass under allowance and optional-claiming conditions.
All Included has not started since finishing eighth in the Grade 3 Appleton in April. Winless since defeating high-priced optional-claiming and allowance horses at Saratoga during the summer of 2015, All Included has turned in a steady series of works in preparation for his return. Each of those drills has come over the main track at Palm Beach Downs.
All Included is among two horses entered by trainer Todd Pletcher in the headliner, along with J S Bach, who will make his grass debut if he runs. The Pletcher duo will face a field headed by the lightly raced Conquest Panthera, Annual Report, Performance Bonus, and the 9-year-old Bombaguia.
The Grade 2 stakes-placed Bombaguia is owned by GoldMark Farm and makes his first start Sunday for trainer Ralph Nicks after having been tutored throughout his career by John Kimmel, who opted not take stalls in south Florida this winter.
