Fenwick Equestrian , a manufacturer of horse products, has reached an agreement to become an “official industry champion supplier” for the Breeders’ Cup , the organizations announced on Tuesday. Under the agreement, Fenwick will provide entrants in races for the Breeders’ Cup two-day year-end event with training blankets, and also supply the winners of Breeders’ Cup qualifying races with fly sheets.
The period of detente between Chicago’s two Thoroughbred tracks apparently will continue into next year, with Hawthorne Race Course and Arlington Park both submitting applications for 2011 race dates that basically mirror the schedule put into place this year.
