All American to rematch San Francisco Mile top three

The new Golden Gate Fields racing secretary, Patrick Mackey, in his second week on the job, signed up 16 nominees to Monday’s Grade 3, $100,000 All American, and a week before the race, a minimum of seven entrants seemed likely, according to stakes coordinator Chris Merz.
The Memorial Day card tops a five-day week of racing at Golden Gate, beginning Thursday.
Pepper Crown, Summer Hit, and Hudson Landing, the first three finishers in the Grade 3 San Francisco Mile, are expected to run in the one-mile Tapeta race. They are likely to be joined by Minister Vivendi, who finished fourth behind Hudson Landing and Pepper Crown in a March 30 race; China Prince, who has won two straight here; Polytechnician, fourth in last year’s Rolling Green on turf here; and Soi Phet, a onetime claimer who was third in last year’s Grade 1 Awesome Again at Santa Anita.
