Alberta yearling sale offers 156

The 2007 Alberta Thoroughbred summer yearling sale will be conducted on Tuesday, Aug. 28, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Northlands Sportex in Edmonton, Alberta, with 156 yearlings on offer.

Some individuals of note at the sale, which is conducted by the local division of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society, include:

* A colt by Alfaari out of One Hundred Plus, the dam of multiple stakes winners Teagues Fight and Speedy Gone Sally.

* A colt by Flying Chevron out of Refined Reality, the dam of stakes winner Candid Remark. Last summer's sales topper was by Regal Remark out of Refined Reality.

* A filly by the promising young sire Include out of My Tale Is Told. Include's first foals are 3-year-olds of 2007 and the Kentucky-based stallion has already sired the graded stakes winners Cash Included and Panty Raid.

* A filly by Kiridashi out of Pellinores Palace, the dam of eight foals to race, all winners, including a pair of stakes-placed fillies. Kiridashi sired the Canadian champion Financingavailable and now stands in Alberta.

* A filly by Horse Chestnut out of Vista Clairvoyance, an unraced half-sister to champion 2-year-old filly Chilluki.
