Adena announces 2016 fees for its 19 stallions
Adena Springs on Friday announced the 2016 stud fees for its stallions standing at its farms in Kentucky, Ontario, and Florida. Awesome Again leads the way with a fee of $75,000, followed by Ghostzapper, who will stand for $60,000. Both stand at Adena Springs Kentucky in Paris, Ky., and have the same fee as in 2015.
Adena has three other stallions at its Adena Springs Kentucky farm – Macho Uno ($15,000, down from $20,000), Mucho Macho Man ($15,000), and Point of Entry ($25,000). The fees for Mucho Macho Man and Point of Entry remain unchanged from this year.
At its Adena Springs South farm in Williston, Fla., Adena has four stallions, headed by Fort Larned, who will stand for $7,500, the same as last year.
At its Adena Springs North in Aurora, Ontario, Adena has 10 stallions. New to the operation is Silver Max, a Grade 1 winner who earned almost $2 million and who will stand for a fee of $3,012 (4,000 Canadian).
Adena Springs Kentucky will host an open house on Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 7-8) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Eastern. Open houses at its other locations will be announced at a later date.
