$729,611 pick six carryover for Cigar Mile Day at Aqueduct

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The last Grade 1 race of the year on the New York Racing Association circuit is not the only reason to pay attention to Aqueduct on Saturday.
Following a parade of longshot winners Friday at Aqueduct, there is a $729,611 pick six carryover into Saturday’s Cigar Mile Day card.
The pick six went unhit Sunday and Thursday, creating a $288,843 carryover into Friday’s card. With $773,208 wagered Friday, most tickets were dead after the first three legs that were won by Sweet Mission ($45.80), Lost My Sock ($104.50), and Saratoga Pal ($40.40). There were no winning tickets sold on the pick three on races 5-7, creating three different winning payouts using 2 of 3 correct with an all-win as one of the legs.
Crea’s Bklyn Law ($8.10) won the fourth leg of the pick six sequence and after Summer to Remember ($12.20) won race 9, there were no live tickets remaining heading into the last leg. Favored She’s the One ($3.30) won the finale, making for a consolation payout (5 of 6) of $2,938.
Saturday’s pick six begins on race 5 (1:45 p.m. Eastern). The first two legs of the pick six are both maiden races for 2-year-olds on turf. The final four races on the card are all graded stakes, starting with the Grade 3 Go for Wand and continuing with the Grade 2 Remsen and Grade 2 Demoiselle and ending with the Grade 1 Cigar Mile.
