445 cataloged for Fasig-Tipton Midlantic fall yearling sale

Fasig-Tipton has catalogued an initial 445 entries for its Midlantic fall yearling sale, set for Oct. 1-2 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Md. The auction company will continue to accept supplemental entries through late September.

The Monday, Oct. 1, session will begin at 4 p.m. and offer Hips 1 through 150. The Tuesday, Oct. 2, session will begin at 10 a.m. and offer Hips 151 through 445, followed by all supplemental entries.

“Midlantic fall continues to be prolific source of top-class racehorses,” Midlantic director of sales Paget Bennett said in a press release. “This year’s catalog [cover] features four recent Grade 1 or graded stakes-winning graduates – Army Mule, Long On Value, Call Paul, and Still Having Fun – all of which have been leaders in their respective divisions.”

“The sale is also once again a top-ranked North American yearling sale by percentage of winners, 2-year-old winners, and repeat winners,” added Bennett.
