$265,874 Big A carryover Wednesday

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - There will be a pick-six carryover of $265,874 on Wednesday at Aqueduct. Post time beginning Wednesday at the Big A is 1 p.m. The pick-six begins with race four, slated for 2:27 p.m. Eastern.

The carryover was assured only after 13-1 shot Statesman rallied to get up by a neck over Remorse in Sundays nightcap. Statesman was just one of three horses in the finale not covered in the pick-six. Had Remorse won, the pick-six would have returned $20,451. There was a carryover of $65,289 entering Sundays card after the wager went unhit Saturday.

Sundays pick-six sequence of 3-2-9-8-1-1 consisted of Madam Commander ($16.20), Smoken Review ($8.80), Serious Vow ($4.50), Tergesti ($12.60), Karakorum Starlet ($5.30), and Statesman ($27.80). The consolation payout (5 of 6) returned $528.

Weather could play a factor Wednesday as the forecast calls for showers Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Wednesdays pick-six consists of three maiden claiming races - two restricted to New York-breds - two allowance races and one open claiming race.
