$143 winner triggers $28,771 carryover into Saturday's Santa Anita card

Factor P paid $143 to win Friday’s eighth race at Santa Anita, resulting in a carryover of $28,771 on Saturday’s 10-race program.
Saturday’s pick six will cover the fifth through 10th races on a program that begins at 1 p.m. The pool of new money in the pick six pool is likely to surpass $175,000.
The carryover was confirmed after Factor P’s win, with one race remaining on the program.

Saturday’s pick six sequence consists of maiden race for California-bred 2-year-olds at six furlongs; the Speakeasy Stakes for 2-year-olds at five furlongs on turf; the Grade 1 American Pharoah Stakes for 2-year-olds at 1 1/16 miles; an allowance race for California-breds at six furlongs on turf; an allowance race at 6 1/2 furlongs for 2-year-old California-bred fillies; and the Grade 2 Rodeo Drive Stakes for fillies and mares at 1 1/4 miles on turf.
Hughes, the star 2-year-old of the summer in California, will be an odds-on favorite to win the American Pharoah Stakes and a key selection on many tickets.
There will also be major support in the same regard for Thought Process in the Rodeo Drive Stakes.
Before late scratches, the pick six races have fields of 9, 7, 6, 9, 9, and 11.
