$115K carryover at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. There is a pick six carryover of $115,324 at Santa Anita on Thursday after a series of longshots won on Wednesday.

Thursday's pick six covers the third through eighth races, the final six races of the day.

The pick six races comprise two turf races, three sprints on dirt and one race over a mile on dirt.

Here is a glance at the pick six races.

In the third race, Prime Meridian and Sleepless Joy have been scratched from the optional claimer over 1 1/4 miles on turf. Phar to Win, already proven over long distances on this turf course, is the 5-2 morning-line favorite.

The fourth race is a $10,500 to $12,500 claimer over 6 1/2 furlongs. Winnin N Grinnin is scratched. National Honor, who drew the outside post, is the morning-line favorite.

Mimosa Mist is scratched from the fifth race, a sprint over 6 1/2 furlongs for $22,500 to $25,000 claimers. Del Mar Cat, who drew the outside post, is the likely favorite.

Older maidens run a mile on turf in the sixth race, which has eight starters. The temporary rails are set 30 feet from the permanent position, reducing the size of the field. The scratches are Johnny the Watch, Live Free, Nationhood, Phil the Usher, Reach for Gold, Westerly Magic, The Big One, and Parthenon Charm. Skellytown and Tokyo will lead the betting.

There are no early scratches from the seventh race, an optional claimer over six furlongs. In an open race, Overly Tempting will be a slight favorite.

The last race is run over a mile for maiden claimers. Born to Command is scratched, leaving a field of 10. Two Dimensional and Eight Below are expected to dominate the betting.
