ARCADIA, Calif. - Thursday's program at Santa Anita features a pick six carryover of $103,256.\nThe pick six covers the third through eighth races on a program that begins at 1 p.m. There are not a lot of horses for bettors to consider. The pick six features two six-horse fields, one field with nine and three fields with 10. All six races are sprints, and two are run on the hillside turf course.\nThere were no early scratches for Thursday's program. \nIn the third race, James Prior, adding blinkers, will be favored in a maiden claimer over 6 1/2 furlongs. Forster Hall will make his first start as a gelding.\nSummertime is the likely favorite in the fourth race, on the hillside turf course. Trained by Jeff Mullins, the 5-year-old mare has thrived on turf. Aside from her, the race is open.\nHomemade Brew will be the choice in the fifth race, a sprint for 4-year-old claiming fillies. She is trained by Ted West, whose stable is off to an excellent start.\nThere are 10 entrants in the sixth race, a maiden special weight for older females. Lavender touch, trained by Mullins, must beat Sweetpea, Kicken Vixen and More than Music.\nWe Will Rock You, returning from a seven-month layoff, will make her California debut in the seventh race on the hillside turf course. She won a turf sprint at Delaware Park last June. Heathersdaddysbaby and Pretty Carina will be well- backed.\nMullins has a chance for a big day. He will start Hasty Trend in the final race, a maiden claimer over six furlongs. Hasty Trend has nine rivals. Coleville, Capt. Pike, and Cole's Favorite are other contenders.
