$100,000 Kentucky Derby bet promotion to return

Churchill Downs and NBC Sports announced Wednesday that they once again will offer a $100,000 win bet on the Kentucky Derby to one fan, a marketing experiment that paid off wildly in its first try last year when a Houston man hit for $900,000 by placing his wager on Super Saver, the Derby winner at 8-1.

One fan will be picked at random at the end of the promotion period to win a trip for two to Churchill for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby (May 6-7) and the chance to make the $100,000 win bet. United States residents must be 21 and are limited to one online entry at www.NBCSports.com/DreamBet. Entries close April 24 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

Glen Fullerton of Houston made the winning bet on Super Saver, with NBC capturing all the drama and emotion of his instant fame and fortune.
