Fairmount Park, in Collinsville, Ill., has been a beloved local destination for racing enthusiasts for more than a century. Established in 1925, its picturesque setting along the Mississippi River drew crowds from far and wide.  

Over the years, the track played host to numerous memorable races and events. Among many other improvements under new ownership, Fairmount Park has been able to reinstate its marquee race, the St. Louis Derby, which had last been run in 2006. As Fairmount Park continues to look to the future, it remains committed to preserving its rich racing heritage while also embracing innovation and modernization.
