My Misty Princess captures Bluebonnet Stakes

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - My Misty Princess, who was disqualified from a stakes win earlier this meet for veering into another rival, edged that horse, Queena Corrina, by a nose to win the $100,000 at Lone Star Park on Sunday.

It was another three-quarters of a length back in third to 54-1 shot Bonnie J., while Janeian, the even-money favorite, finished fourth in the race which highlighted the closing day program.

Beau's Town wins Total Rewards Stakes

BOSSIER CITY, La. - David Hulkewicz's Beau's Town, a graded winner on dirt, made a successful transition to the turf on Sunday, winning the closing day featured $40,000 Total Rewards Stakes. G. W.'s Deputy rallied to finish second, two and a quarter lengths back followed by Aloha Bold.

Our Love takes Majorette Handicap

BOSSIER CITY, La. - Our Love made her stakes debut a winning one Saturday afternoon, prevailing after dueling with runner up Countryfide throughout in the $40,000 Majorette Handicap. Comalagold reported home a distant third followed by highweight Gilded Wings.

Trained by Jeff Trosclair for Alane, Inc., Our Love ($15.80) was ridden by John Jacinto and covered the about five furlongs over the turf in :56.05. The win was her third from seven starts and she has now earned just over $65,000.

Royal Regalia wins Texas Turf

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - About a half-hour after his Ghostzapper won the $4 million Breeders' Cup Classic at Lone Star Park on Saturday, Frank Stronach watched his other starter on the card, Royal Regalia, win the $100,000 Texas Turf Stakes in what was a consolation prize for the horse who did not get the one defection he needed to draw into the $1.5 million Mile.

The Texas Turf was one of three stakes on the Breeders' Cup undercard, and each was worth $100,000.

St Averil vs. Quintons Gold Rush

The richest race on the Tuesday Election Day program at Churchill Downs is the ninth, a $65,900 four-other-than turf allowance for fillies and mares. But from a fan's point of view, it takes a backseat to the eighth race, a $54,900 second-level allowance at one mile, which has attracted Grade 2 winners St Averil and Quintons Gold Rush.

Smart N Classy can handle dirt or turf

A forecast that calls for thunderstorms casts doubt on whether Tuesday's feature race at The Meadowlands, a third-level allowance for fillies and mares with a $45,000 claiming option, will remain on the turf or be moved to the main track.

Hot pace sets up Bending Strings

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - A fast pace set things up perfectly for Bending Strings to win Saturday's $150,000 First Flight Handicap at Aqueduct by 5 3/4 lengths over Smokey Glacken.

Ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan, Bending Strings, a slight 2-1 favorite over Smokey Glacken, raced fifth down the backstretch of the seven-furlong First Flight. Smokey Glacken, Schedule, and Sensibly Chic, battled through swift early fractions. After a half-mile in 44.65 seconds, Bending Strings made a wide sweeping move around the turn and gained the lead in upper stretch.

Midway Road wins Fayette by a nose

Midway Road (inside) out duels Total Impact to win the $161,250 Fayette Stakes by a nose at Keeneland on Saturday.

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Owner Will Farish and trainer Neil Howard did not have a starter in this year's Breeders' Cup, but they still had a good day Saturday. Their older horses Midway Road and Alumni Hall finished first and third in the Grade 3, $161,250 on closing day of the Keeneland fall meet.

Md. Million bridesmaids win 2 stakes

Golden Malibu wins the $75,000 Heavenly Lass at Pimlico on Saturday.

A pair of 2-year-olds who ran well on Maryland Million Day swept the co-features at Pimlico on Saturday afternoon.

Golden Malibu ($3.40), third in the Maryland Million Lassie, overtook recent maiden winner Take a Check at the eighth pole and pulled away by two lengths in the $75,000 Heavenly Lass for 2-year-old Maryland-bred fillies. She ran the six furlongs in 1:11.94.

Monster Chaser ($9.80) ran down pacesetter Bank on the Champ in deep stretch to take the $75,000 Rollicking for 2-year-old Maryland-breds by 1 1/4 lengths.

Delaware: Out-of-towners sweep

Trainers based in Boston and New York took the final two stakes of the season at Delaware Park.

Joyous Song ($7.40), trained by Suffolk-based George Handy, ran down tiring pacesetter Partners Due to win the $50,300 Hildene Stakes for 2-year-old fillies by a length.

Smokin Forest ($4.20), a maiden from Todd Pletcher's barn making only his second career start, held off Feverish Affair by a neck in the $50,300 M. Tyson Gilpin for 2-year-olds.

Both six-furlong stakes were restricted to Virginia-breds or the offspring of sires standing in Virginia.
