Fort Prado wins the Black Tie Affair Handicap for the second year in a row at Arlington Park on Saturday.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Fort Prado came back from a short layoff and a minor injury and won the Black Tie Affair Handicap for the second year in a row, but the other star of the Prairie State Festival on Saturday at Arlington, Original Spin, faded to sixth in her first start here since winning the Arlington-Washington Lassie last summer.

Foxysox bound for Oaks, but opposition is unclear

Benoit & Associates
Foxysox, with Alex Bisono, has impressed trainer Carla Gaines.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. - Foxysox had her reputation bruised when she finished second to Attima in the Grade 2 Honeymoon Breeders' Cup Handicap at Hollywood Park on June 4. Her revenge may come in the $750,000 American Oaks here on July 2.

The loss in the Honeymoon was the first in five starts in this country for Foxysox, who won three stakes at Santa Anita and Hollywood Park earlier this year.

Since the Honeymoon, trainer Carla Gaines says that Foxysox has rebounded, describing her as "looking like a prizefighter" in preparation for the American Oaks.
