ETOBICOKE, Ontario - First-time starter Leonnatus Anteas ($17.70) got up in the final strides under Jono Jones to capture the $150,400 Vandal Stakes at Woodbine Sunday.

Marvelously consistent and racing over his sixth different track in his last six starts, Dreamsandvisions rallied from off the pace under Luis Quinonez to capture Saturday night's $150,000 Evangeline Mile at Evangeline Downs. Longshot Biloxi Pride also came from well back to finish second followed by favored Stockholder and Mauk Fourth. Biloxi Breeze, Watchem Smokey, High Strike Zone and Salic Law completed the order of finish.
Saturday Deelites became a stakes winner on Saturday night at Retama Park when he forged to a half-length win over Sir Maximus in the $65,000 Retama Park Turf Breeders' Cup Handicap. It was another neck back in third to Goosey Moose.
Saturday Deelites ($4) sat in third early, as Sir Maximus and Goosey Moose traded the lead through fractions of 25.53 seconds for the opening quarter and 50.88 for the half-mile mark. Saturday Deelites overtook those two and drove home, covering the mile and a sixteenth over firm turf in 1:44.89.
AUBURN, Wash. - Judicature won like a 2-5 shot should in Saturday's $45,000 Knights Choice Stakes at Emerald Downs, going to the front at the start and drawing out to score by three lengths over second choice Irene's Bonus Baby in 1:17.60 for 6 1-2 furlongs.
It was the second stakes win from three starts for Judicature, a 2-year-old daughter of Tribunal from the barn of trainer Bill Tollett. Judicature, who was ridden by Ricky Frazier, paid $2.80 to win and earned $23,265 for her owners, David and Elaine Parks and Ramer and Clare Holton.
DEL MAR, Calif. - A.P. Warrior won his turf debut in Saturday's $150,000 at Del Mar, scoring the most hard-fought win of his career.
Ridden by David Flores, A.P. Warrior ($13) had an ideal trip, but was forced to battled through the stretch with a resilient Porto Santo, the 6-5 favorite. Porto Santo closed from sixth with a wide rally to reach contention, but could not get past A.P. Warrior.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - No doubt, Barbaro was a special horse during his too-brief career, but Showing Up, the second-best spring 3-year-old owned by the Lael Stable of Roy and Gretchen Jackson is no ordinary animal, either. Forced into a quick early pace by an inside draw, Showing Up still won the Grade 1, $400,000 by one and one-half lengths over Irish invader Ivan Denisovich, his fifth win in six career starts.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - With an explosive burst that is quickly becoming her hallmark, Gorella passed virtually the entire field in a single furlong and captured the 17th running of the Grade 1 at Arlington Park on Saturday.
Ridden by apprentice Julien Leparoux, Gorella had just one horse beaten at the top of the stretch, when she suddenly zipped past the rest of the field with an outside run that had the Arlington crowd gasping in wonderment.

Allowed to settle toward the back of the pack early, Go Deputy advanced steadily into contention down the backside, launched a strong three-wide move around the far turn, and took command outside the eighth pole to win the Grade 1, $500,000 by 1 3/4 lengths at Saratoga on Saturday.
