Kris Kin to pass Irish Derby

Saeed Suhail, the owner of Kris Kin, has decided not to spend the $110,000 that would have been necessary to supplement his Epsom Derby winner into Sunday's Irish Derby.

Suhail, who had written a check for $150,000 to supplement Kris Kin to the Epsom Derby, decided along with trainer Michael Stoute that the firm ground at The Curragh would not be to the liking of Kris Kin, who earned $1.4 million for winning at Epsom on good ground.

Four days later, Choisir repeats

Choisir rewrote the record books at Royal Ascot on Saturday as he sped to victory in the Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes just four days after he won the Group 2 King's Stand Stakes.

Morluc in Royal company

United States-based Morluc can make history at Royal Ascot on Saturday if he can defeat 22 other sprinters in the Group 1, $420,000 Golden Jubilee Stakes.

Trainer Randy Morse has had the six-furlong Golden Jubilee on Morluc's dance card since last winter, and for good reason. A 7-year-old son of Housebuster, Morluc has proven himself adept at the international game, narrowly missing twice in the Hong Kong Sprint on Sha Tin's straight five-furlong course.
